In case you think the flooding is being over stated as a way for WD to charge more for their hard drives, here are some pictures of the factory of the flood sent to me by one of our reps. Western Digital is saying it will take 6 months to get the factory going again. Supposedly 60 percent of Western Digital’s drives are made in Thailand. On the other hand Seagate’s factories remained unharmed, although the parts suppliers for the drive components were hit hard.
